Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor)
Ted Mosby is the main character of the show. He is the show’s narrator from the future, and the show is all about his journey on his search for the perfect woman. In the show, he narrates the story to his children of how he met their mother. As a child and throughout his grown up life, Ted has never been able to talk about anything deep with his parents. In one episode, he learns that his parents have been divorced years earlier and haven’t told him about it. He realizes then that he actually doesn’t really know anything about them, or how they met and got married. From then on, he vowed that his future children will know every single detail of ho he met their mother.

Ted is portrayed as a romantic, who believes in an idealized version of love and wants to get married and start a family someday. He is a struggling architect, a Wesleyan University graduate. He met his best friend Marshall in college and has lived with him for 8 years. When Marshall got engaged to Lily, also one of their friends, Ted then decides that he must begin to find his soul mate.
Ted is portrayed by the actor Josh Radnor. He was born on July 29, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated with a B.A. in drama in Kenyon College and received his Master’s in Fine Arts degree in acting from Tisch School of the Arts.
