The story of ‘How I met your Mother‘ begins with Ted Mosby telling his children how he met their mother. He begins to tell the story from the year 2005, back when he was still twenty-seven years old. During that time, he was single and was twenty-seven years old, staying at the same place in Wesleyan University (located at Middletown, Conneticut), with his best friends, law student Marshall Eriksen and kindergarten teacher Lily Aldrin.

Having been together for nine years, and so Marshal asked Lily’s hand in marriage. Because of this, Ted starts to think about marriage and finding “the One” for him. His womanizer friend, Barney Stinson, is disgusted by Ted’s thought. As Ted looks for “Ms. Right,” he meets anchorwoman Robin Scherbatsky through Barney. Immediately, Ted gets attracted to Robin and actually considers about making a family with her. However, Robin is not ready for that kind of relationship.
