Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders)
Robin is from Vancouver, Canada before moving to New York. Her name has been a result of her father wanting a son. Robin is a very independent person, she spent her youth trying to connect with her father and trying to be a “son” to him. She tried displaying interest in her father’s cigar hobby and even joined the pee wee hockey team to gain his approval. However, he was caught by his father kissing her team mate and her father declared that “he had no son”.

Robin is befriended by the gang when she was dating Ted. She and Ted became a couple for some time but eventually broke up, although they remained friends. She and Barney also became a couple by the end of season 4 but mutually end it later in Season 5. She is a TV News Reporter and a co-host on a TV News show “Come on Get up New York”. As a teenager Robin was a Canadian pop sensation. She starred on a kid’s show Space Teens and became famous for her song Let’s Go to the Mall and Sandcastles in the Sand.
Robin is portrayed by the actress Canadian actress Cobie Smulders. Colbie attended Lord Byng Secondary School with high honors. She was a former model before pursuing a career in acting. She appeared on TV series such as Jeremiah, Veritas: The Quest, Smallville, Tru Calling and The L Word.
