The season’s finale of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ was titled ‘The Magician’s Code Part Two’. If there is any positive thing to be said about the big reveal turning dud, it was that it gives fans one major reason to tune in next season. But the comedy can really carry itself with or without the mystery of who the mother is. Kudos must go to the creators of the show for creating a comedy based on an unfolding mystery. Audiences are kept hooked at two levels.

They are on the look out for pointers to who the mother is and again they are getting preoccupied to distraction at times with what just happens in the lives of the characters week in and week out. The opening started out brightly for those who thought that they were going to get to know the mother as Ted told the kids that he was going to tell them a story of a wedding day that went terribly wrong. It turned out that he was talking about Barney’s nuptials to Robin.

But things were never that simple in this episode. Robin advised Ted to go back to Victoria and she showed up in her wedding dress (!) and they drove off together. Before this Marshall and Lilly had just had Marvin and they brought him home but his bladder was doing over times.

Barney on his own part had an issue or two with the TSA at the airport but that is where the magic trick came about. And the way they built it up to the point of his proposal to Quinn was brilliant. One of the more subdued but intense moment of the episode was when he asked Robin if she was okay with his proposal to Quinn.

If we want to judge a book by its cover, then it would be safe to say that the mother is Victoria whom Ted ran away with. But that would actually be one of the most unlikely possibilities.

She also commented on a possible return of the pop star alter ego of her character, Robin Sparkles, as she said that it is very possible that the creators might bring her back on the 8th season, considering that it is the last season. But how will they do that, she is clueless. Her revelations didn’t stop at that, as the star announced and promised the viewers that they are up for one heck of a revelation and surprise on the 7th season finale that will air on the 14th of May. And she said that she will stop at that, but she again ensured everyone that it will be an amazing episode and that the writers of the show know their business and they have arranged one heck of a surprise for everyone on the season finale of the 7th season.

At Barney’s future wedding, everyone remembers when they made Ted go after a girl who’d gotten away.

She continued by saying that the season finale will have a major reveal, and an even bigger cliffhanger that would make everyone eager to watch the upcoming season, the 8th season which is the last season of the CBS sitcom. She added that it is expected that there will be different opinions to who should Barney settle with, but she is hoping that the majority of the viewers will like the choice the creators made. She also added that she would like to see her character, Robin, settling down by the end of the show.

As Ted and Robin try to help Lily get through her contractions, Marshall struggles to get back to New York City before she gives birth.

Ted can’t stop thinking about Robin. He sees her in everyone he talks to. Barney suddenly develops an interest in Quinn’s job and Marshall continues to work on his ‘What To Expect When You Are Expecting.’

It was a little surprising to see Ted still finding it hard to come to terms with issues pertaining to Robin. And to speak the truth, it all seems a little stretched out. The Barney-Quinn debate on pole dancing is interesting to listen to. But Marshall keeps on with acting silly; this time he plays for Lily driving her on the verge of insanity.

Ted’s ex Wayne shows up. She still hasn’t learned any manners. Nonetheless she provides an interesting explanation of Ted’s situation. He loves Robin. She loves her. Simultaneously both don’t love each other. Sounds like a philosophy professor speaking!

To cheer up his friend Barney tries to persuade him to try online dating. At the same time, to keep his fantasies in check, he tells him not to expect a super model coming out of it for him.

Barney is trying to keep himself diverted too. He has found a new woman but it may not go for long, for it’s Quinn he loves.

To make things easier Quinn has already told Barney she will think about changing profession if she is married. Barney loves her so much that he may rush into in without taking into account all the consequences.

Turning to Marshall now, he is becoming a man with a big ego! And what is he proud of? Of course her ability to catch chips with his mouth!

There are some great moments. But having watched funnier episodes before, one can say it wasn’t the one expected from ‘How I met your Mother?’

But of course, How I Met Your Mother is not going to answer any of these questions that easy, they like to keep things in hiding until the proper moment, for example they keep hiding the face of the future of Barney. And of course, we still have doubts that the bride is Quinn, since they moved in together and that he is totally in love with her. And judging from the episodes name, The Magician’s Code, this means that there will be some kind of trick. Will Quinn pull of the greatest magic trick and disappear without any proof. This could lead to the next question, seeing Barney in a security room at the airport, what is he doing there? Is he in trouble or is he helping someone else in trouble.

And lastly for the last question concerning the baby name, as we see Lilly, played by Alyson Hannigan and Marshal, played by Jason Segel have their first baby and they are in the process in choosing the baby’s name. They are thinking Stephanie or Stephan. So make sure to get all the answers you want by watching the season finale of the 7th season on the 14th of May.

The first part of the story would deal with Lily giving birth to baby Eriksen with Ted and Robin around. But she would also have to deal with the presence of her dad played by Chris Elliot. The second key story is that of Barney and his mystery bride. It would be his wedding day and fans would get to know who the bride is for the first time.

In some pictures released online, Barney is snapped alongside Quinn but she just can’t be the bride, or can she? More pictures of the finale had been released and some showed Lily in labor with her father beside her.

The show comes back on air with a new episode on April 30 which will be on a Monday.

The baby shower makes Marshall realize just how close fatherhood is for him. Meanwhile, Ted and Robin try to ensure their past doesn’t ruin the present.

How can we forget Tom’s 7o’clock smile, and his peeping and obsession nature for Barney? The opening scene is where it’s revealed that Tom used to relieve himself from the pent-up gas, so that he doesn’t fart when Quinn was around. This scene may tickle the ribs of many.

This episode required lot of costume changes, and multiple scene change. Few of the scenes that added additional entertainment were Lily’s engagement ring size and flip phone of Barney.

The title being so, many may misinterpret it as having more of Star Wars references; but, Obi Wan Kang-obi very well managed the situation with fanboy references, which included Stormtrooper fantasy and the changed cantina scenes indulging Greedo and Han Solo.

The scenes with Lily and Marshall had more fun elements, as it gradually progressed towards the climax, where it terminated with one of the excellent quotes of this series. Well, you can’t deny love watching horned up Robin, when Ted and Robin were very much together, but she was continuously dating Barney. He was also forced to disguise as Stormtrooper.

To our surprise, there are many scenes that will make us smile, like asserting the same lines repeatedly when shutting the door against some beautiful women, and where Han Solo along with Quinn smash mugs, share gassy hugs, etc. So, in this episode, he delivered the maximum of twist and turns epitomizing his strong performance.

He even went to the extent of inventing something like back boobs. Does that urge us to believe that he has had light speed sex with his lady friend at Marshall and Ted’s apartment each time we witness the mysterious back boobs? Even though, Barney was damn pretty, Ted had greater possibility of stealing the show with his performance.

All these were followed by cat food, combover and New York Times stacked around; everything one better than the other. The comments made on the cinnamon amount in his desert made in the microwave were damn funny. This was more than enough to make one laugh; however, to this, a scene happens, where Ted is to have a baby girl in 2015. It’s damn sure you will love that scene. Hope you didn’t miss the scene, where Barney tries to conceal his left hand. Maybe, it was performed to hide us his marital status in 2015. Well, what many must have guessed is that he is a married man in the future.

So, it’s recommended to watch this awaited episode that has all the elements needed for a fun-filled show.
